One Laptop per Child

I have been watching this story for some time and it was the first time that I saw an opportunity for people to help with the project.

"One Laptop Per Child, an ambitious project to bring computing to the developing world’s children, has considerable momentum. Years of work by engineers and scientists have paid off in a pioneering low-cost machine that is light, rugged and surprisingly versatile. My understanding is that these machines are very rugged, basic and energy effecient. What a great way to help kids be raised out of colloquialism and ignorance, by opening the way to more information!

9/11

This poem by Carl Sandberg seemed appropriate on this fall day, 9/11, a day which will be continue to be remembered by all Americans for that which it took from us. Hopefully, some will take the events of that date and turn them into a motivation for spreading peace and goodwill and HOPE throughout our whole world.
